What is happening in the Islamic world? The last holdouts are fighting the yoke of modern civilized domestication. Their culture will be subsumed; their values replaced; their traditions discarded or, worse yet, converted into cute token museum pieces. They will eventually take their place at the table of capitalism, consumerism, and pseudo-freedom sans privacy, anonymity, individuality. They better get used to it; everyone else has.
